Happy Mid-Autumn Moon Festival! (Official date: Sept. 17th, 2024)

These mooncakes are not created with the same elegant stamped imprints of Cantonese style mooncakes or the mochi texture of snowskin mooncakes but are just as fantastical with their many layers. The skin is made using a hand laminated technique for dough, combining a water skin and oil skin rolled into layer upon layer. We love the texture of the crispy skins and creamy fillings. This year, we have three different flavors:

💜🥮Creamy Taro & Purple Sweet Potato (Vegan) - This mooncake highlights the root vegetable, taro, that has a sweet nutty flavor that is delicious in this spiraled mooncake tinted with purple sweet potato powder.

💛🥮Mung Bean & Pork Floss - A family favorite, this sweet and savory mooncake features mung bean paste flavored with fried shallots and a center of pork floss and white sesame seeds.  

❤️🥮Red Bean & Salted Egg Yolk - Beneath the layers of flaky crust, the red bean paste surrounds a golden salted egg yolk combining sweet with a center of lightly salted umami flavor to balance the entire experience.

Instructions: Store at room temperature.  Best consumed within 2 days of pick up.  Keep for longer storage in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.  The pastry will soften over time, but you can restore the mooncake's exterior by returning them to room temperature and then reheating briefly in an oven at 350 F for 7-8 minutes or until crisp again.
