Chive & Egg Dumplings Freezer Pack (16oz)

These vegetarian dumplings hail from Northern China and are inspired by 韭菜盒子 (jiǔcài hézi), which literally translates into “Chinese Chive Box.” While humble, the ingredients in these dumplings are truly delicious, especially when combined!

In this dish, we use homegrown Chinese chives that Grandpa Lee harvested and preserved from his garden. Chinese chives, also known as garlic chives, have a lovely aromatic flavor that pairs well with eggs. The eggs we use are locally sourced from our friends at River & Rail Farms in Hoosick Falls, NY. These fresh eggs come from “free ranging, outdoor loving, happy hens” (quoting the farmers) and they have the golden yolks to prove it!

We incorporate vermicelli noodles and season everything  just enough to highlight all the star ingredients. These dumplings pair fabulously with our dipping sauce and chili oil!

 

Ingredients: Flour, chive, egg, water, vermicelli (mung bean starch, potato starch, water), soy sauce (soybeans, wheat, salt, water), rice wine (rice, water, salt, yeast), garlic, cornstarch, salt, sugar, five spice (star anise, fennel seeds, cinnamon, cloves, szechuan peppercorns), sesame oil, white pepper.
